Hi, I’m Marwan 👋
I’m a native German speaker and a certified DaF (German as a Foreign Language) tutor, trained through the Goethe Institute and the University of Jena.
I created this Conversational German Program for learners who are done struggling with speaking German and want to understand and systematically practice how German is actually spoken in real life 🇩🇪
Most learners don’t struggle because they lack sufficient knowledge of grammar, vocabulary practice, or language input. They struggle because real German sounds very different from what they learned in courses, apps, or school.
To actually speak, learners need more than understanding. Learners need consistent interaction with real language, so hearing it, reading it, using it, and speaking it.
→ That’s exactly what this program focuses on.

Each issue of the program follows a simple system. 2x per week, you train like this:
📖 Read real-life dialogue
A natural conversation based on everyday topics people actually talk about
(with real expressions, not textbook phrases) → notice how Germans actually structure sentences
🎧 Listen at your level
Hear the dialogue in normal speed + slower version
→ so you can catch details and build real listening skills
🧠 Understand why it works
Clear explanations with meaning, usage, and cultural context
→ so nothing feels random or confusing
✍️ Write and use it yourself
Short writing prompts based on the topic
→ apply what you’ve learned actively
(I reply to some submissions with personal feedback)
🗣️ Speak and turn it into real conversation
Practice speaking with the KI Sprachbuddy, an AI conversation tool

Who this is for
This program is for you if:

A bit about me and my work
I grew up in a multilingual, multicultural household, with German as my native language. I’m half German and half Egyptian.
I’m originally from Düsseldorf, but traveling and living between cultures has always been a big part of my life.
Over the years, I’ve met - and worked with - many people learning German from all over the world. I genuinely enjoy that process. For me, language is one of the most natural ways to connect with people.
That’s also why I’ve been tutoring German for years: not just to teach rules, but to help people feel more at home and more confident using the language in real life.
